why, together you and i could rule the world!

Hi guys, thanks or putting up and running this fantastic website! Hopefully you’ll have some advice for me too. I have a bachelor in liguistics from the county of my origin (diploma translated by an authorized interpreter) plus I have an Import and Export Business Certificate from Seneca. What educational options would there be at u of t for foreign trade / supply chain / import export professionals? I dont supose I can transfer many credits from the credentials above but perhaps some?
apologies if this info’s somewhere on the u of t website, if so, could you kindly send a link?

    many thanks,
    Katrina

    sorry about this one

Do you know if AP classes will replace the Sat II requirements for US students, or is it only AP tests?

And how easy is it to change programs at UofT from the one you listed on the OUAC form?

    thanks

    it’s the 4th dimension

I’m a full IB student and I’d like to get into english at st george, but im becoming quite nervous about my IB scores. I’d say that with a reasonable dose of optimism my predicted scores will probably be in the 30-32 range, including bonus points. Would this get me in? And of course, if i were to be accepted with say a 31, but somehow manage to royally screw up my exams in may, and instead get a 28, would I still have a chance??

please please please stop sending me your grades….

This is my second time trying to ask you.? Perhaps you were on break.? I’d first like to start by thanking you in advance for the help.

Now, I’m a 11th grader (ya another one) and i am concerned about being accepted into u of t.

    My marks now are
    90 Law
    82? English
    85 Religion
    the grade killer 54 Chemistry
the following are what i will most likely get
    85 American History
    90 co op
    82 Math

i want to get into humanities, the cutoff is 77, my friend told me that sometimes universities won’t even look at your application if you don’t have a science. my question is is this true do i need a science? i just thought holding onto math was good enough
    thanks again

this is getting a little awkward…

So I’m a grade 12 student from Atlantic Canada who will be applying to U of T St George in the next week or so.? I’ve ranked Trinity College as my #1 choice on the OUAC application form, but I’m feeling a little bit nervous about my chances of being accepted here, seeing as its standards are higher than other colleges on the campus.? I’ve chosen Trinity because of its affiliation with the IR program, which is what I plan to study.
On my latest report I’ve had the following marks:
    English- 92
    French- 88
    Theater Arts- 91
    World Issues- 93
    Trig (12 math)- 65

I’m obviously not a math or science person.? My grade 11 marks reflect that, with an 11 physics mark of 61, part B of 11 math 68, and an 11 chem mark of 70.? The rest of my marks are in the 80’s and 90’s.
At the other universities I am applying to, there is almost always a place on the application where you can include past achievements and participation in any activities, and I’ve noticed that there is nothing like this on the OUAC apps, which was something I was really counting on.? So I’m just kind of nervous about applying whenever so much is dependent on my marks.
Do I have a reason to be so nervous?? It took me a really long time to convince my parents to let me apply to UofT and one thing we could really agree on was Trinity, so I’m really really hoping to be accepted here.? How do you think my chances are, considering?
Thanks in advance, and sorry for the novel.? 🙂

i think i just heard rudolph cry

If I took the AP macro/micro-economics exams and got credit for ECO100Y, what mark would I get for it.. or would it just say ‘passed’ on my transcript? If I wanna use this credit to apply for an economics or commerce POSt in 2nd year, I know I need like a 67% but if I was just exempted because of AP what mark would they use? Or would the require me to take the actual course and forfeit the AP credit?

I have Bio 12 and my mark is in the 70s but i can pull it up to high 80s by final.. my worry is Advanced functions I have a low 50 is it possible if I pass with high 60’s or low 70’s and still have a chance to get in to UofT?

Ps. I still have 1 more 4u course where i have a high 80 and also next semester calculus, chemistry and engligh. Does Uni only look at the average of our 6 4U courses?

    thank heavens i’m not you

Hi, i kind of stumbled upon this website by accident while googling what the hell am i going to do with my advanced functions mark. So i plan to go to U of T for life sciences or business, possibly even engineering :S So heres the story, i’ve been an awesome student my entire life and grade 12 comes along and i have no idea what the heck happened. Im still not sure about the courses i need but im sure that my advanced functions mark is not good enough, right now its at 50 i know ill need at least an 75+ if i want to get in. Can you give me any advice on what to do? I got a 95 in Data Management and my science marks last year were all 80s or 90s. Im pretty sure i cant drop Functions or take it in night school because what im looking into, they wont look at that. I need to know what courses U of T will look at for these programs, and what i will need to get in my courses. Im taking chemistry, biology, physics, advanced functions, calculus, english and world history. and i already took Data Management in Grade 11. Please HELP!!!
