Like Sand Through the Hour Glass…

Hello. I’m a typical stressed out grade twelve student that applied to the U of T St. George ages ago and only was accepted, actually, days ago.
While I was being wooed by other univerisities with scholarships and such, I stared at “Pending Review” on Toronto’s site for months!

They’ve sent me a package that basically says Innis is my college but they may not have residency for me.
With nearly a week to decide, I must know: What are the chances of me actually living at Innis, or am I forced onto my second choice (which I randomly decided as New College, but apparently the ‘new’ is kin to the ‘green’ in Greenland).

So I saw your url on the pamplet and decided to try my luck.

I’m not going to sugar your doughnut

Hi Im going to be applying to university soon and I heard that St George is
really hard to get into for Life scince, because the take you english mark,
your advanced functions mark, calculus mark and your top three other course
marks and calculate your average like that. Is that true? I emailed admissions
weeks ago and there not replying and i heard this was the best place to ask.
Should I even bother applying to st Georgr if my advanced functions mark is in
    the 70’s?
PS Which is better utsc or st george ive seen both and all i can say is st
george looks much nicer than ustc

    mesa needsa tudor

Hello! I’m in grade 11, and i want to go to univercity of toronto for Life
science. My average now is 86. all my marks are above 85 except English and
Physics. I know that U of T particularly look at the mark for English and Math.
I have 97 in math… and i suck at English… does it really matter in Gr 12
that my english mark needs to be over 85? I just dont think i can do it…all
my other subjects can be above 87 for sure…so does anyone have any great
ideas about how to get into u of t with a low english mark? Thanks a lot

    …but have you finished it?

I’m an IB student and I’m interested in applying to the Life Sciences at St. George. Admissions indicates that a minimum of 28 is required for ‘some’ programs but I’m just wondering what the minimum score is needed for admission to Life Science and whether this is including bonus points.

    Volunteering and Lies

Im interested in applying for the BCom next year. It says in the admissions that there is a profile required for your activities (volunteer, work, clubs, sports, etc.). And they want references from each one????? I work and i do volunteer work and Im in a club…does it mean i wont get accepted if im not in a billion things??? And references?? :S

wasn’t that in a Jack Nicholson movie?

I am a first year student here at the St. George Campus. I am hoping to go into
the neuroscience program offered here. I wanted more info so I looked through
some websites and couldn’t find the minimum GPA in first year required for that
POST. Since it is a type 3 POST I know that there is a limited amount of seats
available. Any info on admission requirement will be appreciated. Thank you

the sixtuple decker bacon cheeseburger of freaked out highschool kids

Okay now I know this may sound lame or cheesy but I’ve wanted to go to U of T St
George Campu since I was oh I dunno 11? I know its sounds weird but i remember
it was one summer day in my cousins backyard that I decided which high school
and university I wanted to go to without even knowing what I wanted to be in
life. I am a good student and make honour roll every year but I’ve heard you
need to be in high 80’s or low 90’s to get in at st george, and I saw in the
addmissions book that they particularily look at your calculus and English
marks. My marks are still fairly good but they did drop quite a bit from garde
10 to grade 11. Im entering grade 12 in september and I’ve fast tracked and
    taken 3 grade 12 courses in which I’ve gotten high-mid 80’s. I got an 85% in
grade 12 english which im hoping is good enough… along with that by fast
tracking I currently have 30 credits and have techically fufilled all high
school diploma requirments through day, summer, and night school. Along with
that I have 150 community hours. The only problem is im not very good at math,
and I’ve heard Calculus is extremely difficult. Furthermore my school is known
for its infamous math department. What is the minimum mark I need in Calculus
to get accepted? Will St george look down at me taking claulus in privatre
school? In the admissions book it only says that they don’t like students
repeating courses, it doesnt mention summer/might/private school. If you
actually attend St. George and are in the life science program would you mind
telling me what your marks were like in grade 12? Thank you so much =D … by
the way Im loving this site, although it was difficult to find
PS Please do not tell me to refer to admissions as I find tehre website
    extremly useless.
