I’m not going to sugar your doughnut

Hi Im going to be applying to university soon and I heard that St George is
really hard to get into for Life scince, because the take you english mark,
your advanced functions mark, calculus mark and your top three other course
marks and calculate your average like that. Is that true? I emailed admissions
weeks ago and there not replying and i heard this was the best place to ask.
Should I even bother applying to st Georgr if my advanced functions mark is in
    the 70’s?
PS Which is better utsc or st george ive seen both and all i can say is st
george looks much nicer than ustc

    mesa needsa tudor

Hello! I’m in grade 11, and i want to go to univercity of toronto for Life
science. My average now is 86. all my marks are above 85 except English and
Physics. I know that U of T particularly look at the mark for English and Math.
I have 97 in math… and i suck at English… does it really matter in Gr 12
that my english mark needs to be over 85? I just dont think i can do it…all
my other subjects can be above 87 for sure…so does anyone have any great
ideas about how to get into u of t with a low english mark? Thanks a lot

    …but have you finished it?

I’m an IB student and I’m interested in applying to the Life Sciences at St. George. Admissions indicates that a minimum of 28 is required for ‘some’ programs but I’m just wondering what the minimum score is needed for admission to Life Science and whether this is including bonus points.

the future is decided by teenagers

Okay, I don’t know if you can help me…I was just wondering about something.
After undergrad, I really want to try to get into an Ontario law school.
However, I really screwed up some of my first year marks…meaning I failed two
of my courses. I intend to obtain a great average for my last three years. Will
those two first year marks stop me from getting into law school? I know
different law schools have different requirements, but none of their
requirements specifically address this issue. It’s been nagging my mind! Help!ladylaw

    don’t worry, be happy!

Hello askastudent. I have been accepted into the humanities program over at UofT
st. George and I am stressing over the basis of conditional offers. I had a 79
average based on my midterm marks, and that average has declined to about a 72
precent average on final marks. Is there a chance that August will arrive and I
will get a letter telling me I have been rejected? Any help on this issue will
be helpful since I’m planning to attend university this upcoming year. Thanks.

art, the most confusing program in the university 2: the revenge of the subject post…

    I have another question!
I don’t really understand the concept of Subject POSt’s.
When the time comes to choose one, whats the process? I know there is a place to chose one on rosi, and then I know you must get approval, but how does that all work?
I have a problem! I just found out I need a 70% in two classes to get into the program I want. (Visual Studies) I don’t remember ever reading that before, it doesn’t seem fair! Thats higher than so many other programs. Now lets say I don’t get those marks, then pretty much I’m screwed. Lets just say I come close…68% say, is there anyone I can look sad in front of to change it!?? (I’m guessing no eh?)

stuck in the middle with PSL302…

I want to die right now. I’m stuck between whether to drop my PSL302 course or stick with it. My mark stands at a pathetic 53% at the moment. If I drop it, i’m left with the option of taking it in summer school which means stay in toronto (i’m from way out of town), waste more money, let go of a well paying summer job and also the possibility of going to Europe. Or, I take the course in my 4th year or the summer after 4th year or totally drop the idea of getting a human bio specialist. If I don’t drop it, chances are I won’t make a 70% and my GPA will be at a all time low which will not impress MBA schools or any graduate schools. If you were me, what would you do? Part of me wants to drop the course but if I do, will I do better in my other courses because I have less work or will they still suffer? Are summer courses that much easier as people say they are? HELP!
