brits go to trin, architects go to woodsworth

    hey!
i’m thinking of going to U of T next year (september ’09) and was just wondering what residences are good for a first year British student?? I’ve been looking at Innis and St. Mikes, and University College sounds nice but would like the real picture of what these residences are like as a student – not just the overly long descriptions that each college has written.

So which is good and which is not so good?

    Thanks!

Hey, im applying to the faculty of arts and science for architecture. i was wondering which colleges in your opinion are the best? and if any college would be more equipped for a future architectural student? im an international student, so i cant really go and check them out myself. been to their websites and honestly cant really get much out of them. essentailly, im look for a college which is fun, but also allows students to study and work easily within it.

    thanks!

    “oh… wow… ‘woodsworth’ earmuffs. That’s… very sweet of you…”

    Dear Aska:
k random question….but you know all the customized UofT apparel by college (like Trinity hoodies, SMC track pants, etc..) where exactly do people get those? I’ve been told it’s somewhere around Hart house but i cannot find this mysterious place for the life of me…and i’m trying to get a customized thing for a friend as a gift. SO in summary, is ther ean actual place at UofT that sells these or will I have to go to blakc market, purchase a hoodie and get it customized myself?
    Thank’s tonnes!

does one clique count as cliquey?

Hey there, I’ve been reading this site for a while and it’s been helpful, sooo
    here is a question.
I’m going to be a first year Innis student in the fall, and I’m wondering if
there are particular things I should steer clear from while I’m there. In some
of the older entries, you mentioned that Innis is pretty cliquey and overall
not that great, so do you have any specific suggestions for getting around the
stuffy atmosphere? Maybe any awesome clubs or student groups I should look up?
Or some non-UofT related activities? Thoughts?

the college war has been called off due to gross nudity

Hey, I’ve been looking into the various colleges, and the basic information given about each has been nice and all, but I have a question that the pamphlets won’t answer: Which schools have a reputation for what kinds of people? Where are the preppy rich kids, where are the hippies, where are the dungeons and dragons kids, where are the drunken jocks, and where are the
outdoorsy health freaks, etc…? Although I’m sure each college has some of everything, I just want to know where I would fit in the best.

i am a jerk. please don’t listen to me.

    Hello,
I got an offer from UofT, however it says I have to go to new college.
I was reading the reviews you wrote on the web and it doesn’t sound too good. The overweight science kid that wins the girl at the end of the movie???
Am I stuck with this college forever, is it really that bad, give me some good news.
Anyway, I’m glad I got in no matter what the college is.
Also, I was reading there is a cut-out mark for entry into different colleges my first choices were UC, Innis, St. Michael’s with New in 5th place. Am I just too dumb for the other colleges?

what college gives it away for free?

    Hey..
I’ve applied for Commerce undergrad to SG and am unfortunately not feeling very optimistic abt it. I certainly do not want my college choice to create any further barriers for admission.. so my question is.. does the choice of college matter in admission decisions? if so, which are the easiest colleges to get into (frankly speaking as long as the rooms are not held together by duct tapes, i’m fine with all colleges and college environments.) and for the know, i’ve prioritized trinity, UC, innis…. in that order.
    thanks in advance

    innis really can rock out….really!

hey i m a responsible partier and very social and fun, i got accepted in to Innis but i’ve been reading on ur site that it is sort of a college for nerds and shyt. So does that mean that they don’t get crazy and have social lives to me univerity is all about having a great balance of social life and good marks will i be doomed at innis and stuck with lifeless nerds?!? SOS please say that this isn’t so and that innis is the best college:(
